A sneak peak into the future - faceshift demo at Eurographics 2012
Just saw a demo presentation of this awesome piece of software yesterday at the first day of Eurographics 2012 in Cagliari, Sardinia.

faceshift captures facial performance with the kinect and animates a digital avatar in real time. It appearently works seamlessly for fast facial expressions, head motions and difficult environments.

looking forward to test it asap. according to the developers it should be available on the website within the next two weeks.
meanwhile you can watch their official preview video here: http://youtu.be/Iet0xvjdCus
